Composition d&rsquo;une allumette<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une allumette est une petite tige de bois (souvent en peuplier) impr\u00e9gn\u00e9e de phosphate d&rsquo;ammonium \\((NH_4)_3PO_4\\) et de paraffine. L&rsquo;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de celle-ci est compos\u00e9e d&rsquo;un m\u00e9lange de chlorate de potassium \\(KClO_3\\), de trisulfure de diantimoine \\(Sb_2S_3\\) et de phosphate d&rsquo;ammonium \\((NH_4)_3PO_4\\) enduits dans une colle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le grattoir de la bo\u00eete d&rsquo;allumette, quant \u00e0 lui, est compos\u00e9 de poudre de verre \\(SiO_{2\\ (s)}\\) et de phosphore rouge \\(P_{(s)}\\) : vari\u00e9t\u00e9 allotropique stable du phosphore, non toxique, non inflammable et polym\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>II. Combustion d&rsquo;une allumette<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La friction de l&rsquo;allumette sur la poudre de verre du grattoir entra\u00eene une augmentation locale de la temp\u00e9rature transformant alors le phosphore rouge \\(P_{(s)}\\) en son allotrope, le phosphore blanc \\(P_{4\\ (s)}\\).
